That’s why you won’t find parabens, phthalates, sulfates, silicones, glycols, synthetic fragrance or standard ingredients in our formulas. Many of these cheaper ingredients, while considered ‘safe’ to use in cosmetics, also contribute to a lot of the problems we aim to fix by incorporating products into our routine such as redness, irritation, dryness and allergic reactions.

Our ingredients list spans over 120 raw materials from the most reputable suppliers in Australia and across the globe. Just one example we use is Australian Sandalwood (the real stuff). This ingredient is very cost prohibitive for many brands, coming in at $3700 per kilogram. It has become common practice to use its synthetic alternative just for fragrance sake which comes in at less than $300 per kilogram. The difference is the real stuff provides therapeutic benefits to the skin and hair, while the other just provides a resemblance of the real scent. This approach towards all our ingredients rings true.

Take a look at the ingredients list from first ingredient to last. By law, all cosmetic companies have to list all ingredients from highest to lowest percentage. If those star ingredients are at the bottom of the list (usually after parfum/fragrance/essential oils), it’s likely in the formula at around 0.1%. 

Now, not every key ingredient requires huge percentages to deliver results, but it’s usually a telling sign that the product isn’t going to compare to a more premium alternative. A simple google on the ingredient and recommended percentage use in skincare formulas will help you determine whether it’s worth your money.

Sure, you could buy a moisturiser at half the price or less, but you'll apply more each use to hydrate the skin, halfway through the day you'll find your skin dry or oily, the ingredients won't compare and the jar won't last you 9 months like ours does.
